Velvet Elvis by Rob Bell

velvet elvis rob bellTim at Living Open Source has a nice post describing Rob Bell’s Velvet Elvis as “respraying” the Christian faith.
I’ll admit … I own this book, but have not read past the intro yet.

But what I like about Bell is his way of putting historic truths in a totally unique perspective. I’m assuming this book is no different.

Bell’s Velvet Elvis is unbiblical in many areas, and though God does welcome our questions He also is not totally distant. He has revealed Himself in places such as the Scriptures, which unlike Bell, I think we can actually understand.
